A bit of social commentary, a rant if you will, about the idiocy, the hypocrisy, and mindless indulgence that surrounds and consumes us all. I'm no innocent either. Perhaps awareness and disgust are the first agents of change we seek in the world.
I simply overdubbed a bass guitar and called it a holiday.

lyrics
I can’t say that I don’t like to feel the pleasure of eating up a pile of junk food and a measure of time in a line of people zooming down the turnpike, cruising with the tailpipes burning up the ozone, careless that it’s all gone away.
But today, I’m just driving with so many people, unconscious of what together all the damage we’ve caused, and we’re such stupid people t-teaching our children the way that they should follow along, like they’re such stupid people, too young to know better at all.
Like they’re such stupid people, too young to know better at all.
Useless in so many ways that I can’t just say how many times I’ve tried for purpose to justify my place in this race of people eating up the planet, discarding all the plastic, wasting every day on tireless indulgence and games.
What a shame that we’re such stupid people, thinking ‘bout nothing but what we’re gonna buy from the store. Not thinking where this shit comes from, and where it ends up at, just how we’re gonna get us some more.
Yeah we’re such stupid people, too dumb to know nothing at all.
Yes we’re such stupid people, too dumb to know nothing at all.
But I’ll just keep on driving like I’m in some kind of movie where all the people are zombies, and I’m the last of the Humans.
And all the big corporations, they measure our lives in dollars, while we sit home and get wasted, which is right where they want us, like we’re meaningless people, too blind to see we are controlled.
Yes we’re disposable people, divided we’ve lost the control.
Overpopulation, underestimation of food supply for nations, pretty soon there won’t be none left, then what’s next for the people living in the mainstream, hanging onto our dreams while GMO’s and think tanks, governments and the banks and greed still succeed in keeping so many people unconscious and unaware of all the damage THEY’VE caused, like they’re ignorant people content to do nothing about our right to not tag along?
Yet we’re such stupid people, too dumb to say something at all.
Yes, we’re such stupid people, too dumb to say something at all.

I saw Alvvays open for CourtneyBarnett 2016 'n checked out this album that week on Spotify, made me a fan for life. They make brilliant records if you ask me. Great vocals, songs, guitar parts. Joe Normal
The original release without the last two tracks. Sloan is hecka-talented, I'd say he's the next Paul McCartney. I'm grateful to find a young artist/producer so inspiring, good natured, and melodic. Joe Normal
