Home 03:19
She lives there above the city streets, She parks her car and runs inside. It’s alright, she knows she’s home now, She runs a bath and slips away… She’s home now, Her husband, and children, She’s home now. He lives here among the crowded streets, Pushes his cart and sleeps outside. It’s alright the city’s his home now, Opens a bottle and slips away… He’s home now, His kitten, and blanket, He’s home now. Every day the sun will rise, It casts life’s shadows upon our eyes. Some things we see, and some things we feel, And some things the sun and the clouds conceal. She lies there below a field of weeds, He abandons his car, kneels at her side, It’s alright, he’s going home now, A shot is fired and he slips away Every day the sun will rise, It casts life’s shadows upon our eyes. Some things we see, and some things we feel, And some things the sun and the clouds conceal. It’s alright now, I’m coming home, I’m going home It’s alright now…

Bike 01:49
I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like It's got a basket, a bell that rings And things to make it look good I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things I've got a cloak it's a bit of a joke There's a tear up the front It's red and black, I've had it for months If you think it could look good, then I guess it should You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house I don't know why I call him Gerald He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things I've got a clan of gingerbread men Here a man, there a man, lots of gingerbread men Take a couple if you wish They're on the dish You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things I know a room of musical tunes Some rhyme, some ching, most of them are clockwork Let's go into the other room and make them work.

about

This is a back catalog release.

Bits of Baroque Pop and Psychedelia to melancholically and melodically interrupt your day.

Joe has often sited Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd as an influence, so here on the B-side is his bare bones cover of "Bike" from Floyd's 1967 "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and "Relics" compilation albums.

("HOME" was originally released as the B-side to Joe Normal & The Anytown'rs "Living With Me." Joe released "Home" on his own to streaming in 2020 with "BIKE" as its B-side.)
